There was a 1-3 foot forecasted storm surge east of the mouth of the Mississippi River (The Ensco 102 was relocated to the east of the Mississippi River), and a little to the west of the mouth of the Mississippi it was forecasted only between a 4-7 foot storm surge. A lot of businesses in Port Fourchon are elevated. Not bad compared to other harder hit areas with a forecasted storm surge of 15-20 foot. Laura’s direct path was not through Gulfslope’s lease blocks, and the blocks are around 90 miles offshore.
The price of crude oil is stable so no real impact yet in pricing due to the hurricane and temporary shutdown.
