Here Today.. thanks for the post.
Your family member (In the high level hospital position) is acting like most high level decision makers.. that seems to be the psychology.. imagine bringing a new "idea" to the table.. one that will need a significant money commitment.. not many people are going to risk their high level jobs without airtight documentation (these folks wouldn't have gotten where they are by doing anything else)
If the decision doesn't pan out.. then at least the decision maker can justify the decision.
Peer review articles should be enough (for at least some)
