It is Thompson’s job to promote KBLB to shareholders and customers.

Knowing that KBLB has filed patent applications, rather than wondering about what the status is, should benefit the company, right? KBLB doesn’t have to share the content, just the good news that things are moving forward on the intellectual property front. That is reassuring to both investors and potential customers.

The absence of this good news, while perhaps not definitive proof of failure, is not a good look for the company. This is especially true given the many times when silence from the company has been a cloak to hide bad news.
