The presumption that our provisional patent applications have been abandoned is an obvious one to make, given the public record.

No it's not.

Lots of folks who understand these issues will reach the same conclusion.

This might be where your confusion comes from. You are listening to people who don't "understand these issues".

The folks you are listening don't understand the difference between "filing" and "published".

Kraig Labs "filed" there Provisional Application on May 23rd, 2019. They had till May 23rd, 2020 to "file" there Patent Application. The USPTO then has another 6 months to "publish" it on their website (18 months after the provisional application filing date). The Patents should be available for public view by mid November. Anyone telling you differently is either purposely spreading misinformation, or blindly taking the word of those who are.

All Thompson has to do is provide an update and lay rest to any incorrect interpretations.

It's not Kim's job to PR a response to every wrong assumption that is posted on the message boards. There would be too much misinformation to correct on a daily basis that it would be a full time job.
