why are they taking bonuses until appeal win?

I am not sure what do you mean exactly(?). They got "bonus"* for 2019, is not for 2020.

* The basic compensation is: base salary (guaranteed, paid on a monthly basis) + bonus (based on achievement of the yearly corporate and / or personal goals, paid annually following the fiscal year) + equity award (guaranteed, RSUs: vest following the fiscal year / 81 % of the Options vest and became exercisable following the fiscal year). These three (together) is the base compensation ... so they are taking the salaries.

Nope.

They voted on:
- Amarin Corporation plc 2020 Stock Incentive Plan in advance of the expiration of the 2011 Plan (it does not contain any specific grant)
- the base compensation of the BoD
- the base compensation of the management (inc. "bonus" for 2019)
