Why has the market never given Amarin its EU value

Beyond that snark, Amarin has no presence in Europe, and thus there is no reason to believe in their ability to launch Vascepa and get it adopted in a timely manner, while we still wait on approval from the EMA. Now however, at the ER, is JT's chance to pitch the Europe opportunity. Especially as it is untouched by the patent crap. I'll be pissed if he misses this chance and instead lingers on the patent loss.
