TMDI is a typical low float -Low outstanding share count.It is not a well known say-technology company that has many institutions owning it.Nor does it have many large investors in it.It is below 5.00 and many 'tutes' can't own any stock under 5.00 So,you ownership of shares in the market place that are tradable is not really locked up and awaiting for something to happen -yet.Why don't they buy in early to own ahead of the move or buyout?
Because they like clarity and more progress with confidence before laying out 10's of millions on potential gains.In the meantime it is dead money to them.So what will it take? More disclosure and execution on TMDI's part like IDE filed,human trials started,MDT stake exposed for real,Over 5.00 etc...
Yesterday was a big investor/MDT,old investor adding,etc.They swooped in quick and bought like crazy.The price rose as you saw.Then the price settled after the buyer got his order filled as to how many shares were needed to complete the buy.The stock then was exposed to retail traders selling for profit,in return places more shares in the market for Shorts to take advantage of and reshort,or open a quick position to scalp.
This is common and no big deal.That is why Fintel showed this am yesterday's huge short volume.A chart from yesterday (1 minute) revealed the same.Basic run up,short off the top by shorts and ride it back down like a head and shoulders pattern where we started from.
If you have waited this long then just ignore the noise and the up and down swings.Trust me,he who stays in the stock not selling one share,gets the greatest tax benefit if it goes 12 months,and does not run the risk of having to be perfect for trading in/out timing.
Soon perhaps come Monday or good news before you will see a much larger move quickly in the stock price as shorts have to cover all while the investor buys 10 million shares or so. Soon too,the float gets smaller and the stock moves wicked fast all while the pps stay more in the area and doesn't fall back.
Relax,we are good to go.Let the shorts do their thing as they become buyers sooner or later.A long has nothing but time. A short has unexpected risk while remaining short.
