Yes. Harlingen is our city , near Corpus Christie , site of expected landfall.

Spent the last 5 hours filling up containers of water for my donkey and goats should the power go out. We get unpotable water from our well and it's ok for livestock and toilet flushing. Now have 31 gal. stored In addition to the corral water troughs holding 50 gal. I think.

This is strange as we know we will be flooded so we're looking for things we overlooked. We live in desert land and it can flood very quickly due to the clay -sand soil.

Plenty of food on hand with 2 fridges and 2 small chest freezers plus lots of dry edibles.

Still, you're never really ready.

Hurricane Ike pretty much destroyed my house when I lived in Houston. Fema said my place suffered the most in the hurricane. Not a pleasant distinction yet it's comforting as I believe well pull through this. The previous storm had most of all of Houston, we were without electricity for 6 weeks to the day.
