What we know for sure:

The US government is encouraging investment in restoring the USA to independence in rare earth mining (such as all the rare earths in the zirconium- and other-based BMG). This is to wean America from the current dangerous dependence of China for these rare earths for, in particular, electronics.

To be sure, to protect the move to rare earth independence, the US government will eventually put tariffs on the Chinese based rare earths.

Pretty sure that Apple has felt the heat from the US government to relocate some of its supply chain dependence upon China to US and Taiwan based manufacturers operating in the US (to wit: note the moves in the Taiwan semi-conductor arena to relocate to the US.

So, the trend, clearly, in the current environment is to manufacture in the US, especially, critical components for the latest 5G networks, especially in view of the ban against Huawei et alia.

Yet, we see absolutely NO SIGNS of Professor Li as a businessman reacting to the current "cold war" realities. In fact, we have seen him doing the exact opposite by shutting down the US operations.

When is he going to, again, change his strategy, to reflect clearly what is happening NOW in the economic situation. Clinging to Chinese manufacturing and supply chain is a LOSE/LOSE strategy for both the MAZE as well as LQMT.

Just this one man's opinion and, as always, against the conventional wisdom.

Fanatical LQMT Optimism is going after Moby Dick in a rowboat with holes in it. Too many Ahabs on this boart.
