Question: When you're buying to open a straddle, do you lock in both positions at the same time? Not every equity has broad participation in their option chains and it can take several minutes for a counter party to accept your offer. If the market moves against your initial position while your locking in the counter position it could get expensive. Also, paying the market asking price will create additional expense.
