I have 2 theories on this “shorting” terminology when it comes to subs....one is its an outright scare tactic, two it’s in reference to MMs that are not technically shorting, but are selling shares that they don’t yet have their hands on but are fairly certain they can get quickly....wouldn’t surprise me if MMs hit these boards from time to time to perpetuate the myth in order to do just that
