I certainly agree that it's possible, but I don't believe that Merck will be the only BP to notice what we have here. I suspect that we could have multiple BP's who've have already, or will want to establish confidentiality agreements with the company, and the result may be a bidding war to either partner, or buy out the company.

I believe that personalized medicines is the future, BP can either jump in, or will eventually join in kicking and screaming. I do believe that Merck will be one of the leaders, but not the only one. A partnership is what I've seen Roche do with a few different companies, it wouldn't surprise me at all if they're one of the bidders.

Let's get the TLD, once that's out it could get very interesting. Remember, if a company has a confidentiality agreement, they can see everything. Ultimately all the data will be presented for peer review in a technical conference, then it will be released to all of us, but prior to then any BP with a confidentiality agreement can look at everything, even stuff that won't make the technical presentation.
