Rule 33 entitled, "Appeal Conferences", expressly addresses settlement conferences as directed by the Appeals Court. So the filing of the Certification earlier this week confirming compliance, can only mean that the parties were directed to discuss settlement by the Appeals Court, and that the Certification means that they complied with that directive.
