Who said the FDA “did” it? It’s a global trial and involves global, regulatory collaboration. There are very likely still challenges when having such a trial that happens to have such impressive results. I doubt an exact plan for this is written anywhere.

And the company can’t know. It’s blind.

It suits your approach here to be skeptical. Nothing anyone says will change that. I do not believe you are rational in that context, you may concede a point here or there strategically to maintain your overall efforts, and maintain the integrity of this ID, but I don’t think anything anyone ever says, including the release of stellar TLD, will change your approach here for any time longer than maybe a 1 week regroup while you figure out a new approach to facilitating anxiety and skepticism. Or you give up. Usually that happens on a buyout or similar major financial event.
