We got 4 brand new C-130's back in '92,
(switching from C-9's).
We got a few training runs to "uber" that pic.
It was more of a Godfather quote,
"perhaps one day I may call upon you for a favor which may never come",..

I was in the Reserves in 90's in a brand new helo squad,
had a chance to go to Korea for a 45 day det.
(I was out of work at the time & saw a chance to get a number of qual's signed off).

Found out we were going close enough to the demilitarized zone that,
we got a "really short" 2hr lesson on a rifle range from a REALLY gun-ho Marine,
(& when I say "gun-ho", I mean someone that wanted to bring the fact where we're going is kinda no joke).

As pretty much a civilian & just being a "weekend warrior",
(coming from a tail-hook, carrier community) ie 500+ miles out),
it was a wake up call especially me being a line maintenance.
