Financial planners? No thanks. I don't need someone to "direct" me into safe investments. I can buy ETFs and skip their salary.

The reason they prefer "stable" investments is because they take an annual rake on your balance. They are less concerned with your wealth, than they are with accumulating more clients.

Its a dying industry I'm afraid.
