The Confessions of Chuckles....

Being a "proud" and "independent" investor over the years I have neglected to secure a long-term financial planner to assist with planning for retirement. You know...maximize investments to make them secure and provide for your retirement future....you've heard the commercials.

Well, the last couple of weeks have demonstrated the real potential of what's ahead. Coupled that with the accelerated revenue timeline because of COVID I panicked and called a family trusted CFP. He was somewhat familiar with CYDY because other family members have invested. During our "get to know each other talk" I asked him about what he thought about CYDY. He pulled it up on his screen and made the comment..."So, you like roller coasters, huh?" Which understandably segued into "diversification" and "risk tolerance" and....and.....my brain kind of buzzed over as I came to the stark realization that I should have had this talk with a CFP years ago. It's like saying...."Ya...I'm healthy...why do I need to go for a doctor check-up?"....

Word of caution, especially to the younger long investors here - let my "life example" be a warning to you. If you haven't already, make an appointment with a CFP NOW and get a plan together. Not only for investments but taxes and retirement. It may happen a lot sooner than you think.

Ya...I'm gonna need a bigger boat....
