Invest, I will answer your questions as of today, but I have to say that 15 years ago my answer would have been different in regards to the financial well being.

In 1978 we moved to a fairly small town and purchased an existing business and basically just operated it and did not have the opportunity and the drive to grow the business. Without boring you with the detailed history of that, selling the business, being forced to take it back when the new owners failed, etc., I did feel 15 years ago that I more than likely as far as finances went, would have been wealthier if we had stayed in Canada. However, a big caveat, is you never really know how that path would have turned out if you never travelled it. So just a gut feeling and an educated guess.

15 years ago things took a very positive turn and in the last decade I was able to build up savings, etc. (that is why I am bitching at the 0% interest rates now LOL)..

As far moving back, that is not going to happen. We are happy here. I have a son in Oregon for (who wants us to move out there but NO way with them having a state income tax although it is possible one day someone might convince me of Washington state since no state income tax there).
