Cherry Tree,

I believe your post illustrates how it works, but what you fail to illustrate is, what if soft lock was called weeks ago. What if only one single site is lacking the last of the data it's responsible for.

I believe it's very possible our contractor has received well over 90% of all they need, in fact they may have over 99%, still you cannot call data lock until you can get them 100%.

My point is if that is the case, when that last bit of data becomes available and data lock is called, the contractor may be able to complete its work in a manner of days. Once it's provided to the company, and they're unblinded, it's only a question of how long they'll need to prepare the TLD statement.

To take it one step further, it's possible the contractor was tasked with preparing a TLD statement that they'd recommend to the company. If that's the case, and if the company liked what they saw in the contractor prepared document, things could happen very rapidly.

I believe that L.P. would like nothing more than to surprise the shorts with information they anticipates wouldn't happen for weeks. I have no idea when anyone would be short at this time, but it appears there are, so a short squeeze can be a thing of beauty.

I'm not saying this is the case, just that I believe it's a possibility.
