As soon as the buying pressure wanes in the slightest, the MM walk it down with 1/10 the volume that brought it up in the first place. Is there any real reason to do this besides trying to fill a large order for a buyer? It has a psychological effect on other buyers, I imagine. Would be nice if they’d do the opposite on occasion, but have to figure it won’t take that much to run it back up as they don’t have an endless supply of shares to sell at .9999 on the way up and sell short to bring it back down.
