Does systemic oppression exist? Absolutely. Here is evidence:

Example 1: USPTO approves a patent but a district court judge (without any knowledge in science, statistics, precedence and apparently law) can invalidate that patent a decade later, with a stroke of a pen - WTF?!

Example 2: A company can spend billions of dollars, develop a life saving drug with multiple indications, a judge can then invalidate a patent for a tiny indication, thus allowing generics to sell to millions of patients for a PATENT PROTECTED indication (skinny label) - WTF?!

Example 3: Judicial / Sovereign immunity*. A judge can ignore law, invent law, play god, cause billions of dollars in damage, but not face any consequences - WTF?!

Judicial immunity is a form of sovereign immunity which protects judges and others employed by the judiciary from liability resulting from their judicial actions. Though judges have immunity from lawsuit, in constitutional democracies judicial misconduct or bad personal behavior is not completely protected.
