Yup, referred to as "Bridge Trials" sometimes that connect independently proven safe compounds with known efficacies as a combinatorial compound with a new or unique use or function.

Bleach is good. Ammonia is good. Combining them is a felony and lethal.

Blueberries are good. Broccoli is good, but what happens when compounds from them are combined? The 4 main components of Quadrammune proprietarily mixed are doing VERY WELL so far in reasonable pre-trial, phase 1 trial, and now heading into phase 2 trials.
