One of the questions I had for Mr. Dixon in my earlier note today was regarding Rheumatoid Arthritis:
First, I wanted to ask you about how QuadraMune helps with Rheumatoid
Arthritis. I just found out recently that my Mom has been diagnosed
with it and was wondering how QuadraMune can help with those
Symptoms?
Mr Dixon's reply:
So let me first address the RA question. I will be using examples from phase 1 clinical. Although there is a host of pro-inflammatory molecules involved in the progression of RA (stages 1-4) the main bad boys are TNF-a and IL-6. At stage 4, there is no longer inflammation as all the tissues, etc have been destroyed and those bad boys are why. As part of phase 1 we looked at each ingredient of QuadraMune independently and the graph below shows the levels of TNF-a inhibition in varying doses. As you can see each one had a certain amount of suppression on their own and that's fantastic.

However, it is the combination and synergism of the 4 that really shines. As you can see by the 12th hour we knocked down TNF-a to nowheresville...

I could provide you the same outcome with IL-6 which had very similar synergism. But you can see that in the pre-pub manuscript we have posted online QuadraMune™ Preclinical/Clinical Eval
So here's what happened. We did not know we had RA patients enrolled as this was a study of healthy individuals and they reported remission of symptoms and of course based on everything we already know, we would expect this if we set out to look at RA (and we will when we can breathe). So it's not surprising to us at all, we just didn't anticipate it as part of the exit questionnaire detail.
It is pretty amazing the possibilties of the health benefits what QuadraMune can offer.....
