In this Indian study of 106 health care workers at risk of contracting Covid, this was the finding:-

4 out of 54 (7%) healthcare workers on HCQ acquired COVID-19

20 out of 52 (38%) healthcare workers non HCQ acquired COVID-19

HCQ is the widely used mainstay for Covid treatment in India.

Comparing Covid deaths per million of population, India's is currently 1% of the UK.
And it's case fatality rate (deaths as a percentage of confirmed cases) is 2.87%, compared to 14.16% in the UK.
