Well at least the FDA is investigating the reports of these known risks for hydroxychloroquine that have come up post-Covid-19, and that seem to have not been cited pre-Covid for the past seventy or so years since its use began (in the 1950s).

I wondered, since there have been some number of deaths due to having taken hydroxychloroquine, were the patients cited as having died from hydroxychloroquine, or Covid-19? Maybe that's why there doesn't seem to be a number available as to exactly how many have died from taking hydroxychloroquine?

Also, I'm extremely curious how the CDC could have missed all these "known risks" that are so evident now, and they even state in their literature that there are no limits on the use of hydroxychloroquine for the prevention (note: as a prophylactic, no less!) of malaria... in fact, the CDC suggest that if you've used hydroxy at higher doses for, like, more than five years, you should even get a regular eye exam! Boy did they miss the boat! You'd think they would have at least suggested an annual (if not a monthly) heart check, too?!

How long is it safe to use hydroxychloroquine?
CDC has no limits on the use of hydroxychloroquine for the prevention of malaria. When hydroxychloroquine is used at higher doses for many years, a rare eye condition called retinopathy has occurred. People who take hydroxychloroquine for more than five years should get regular eye exams.

Anyway, it's an excellent thing that the medical and scientific community are finally getting their act together and investigating this poison, hydroxychloroquine, after having let it be so easily prescribed, and for so long too (!), including even for prophylactic purposes.
