You are talking about conspiracy theories after you described one:

They are more involved with the IT and product flow through the organization to the customer. A 10-Q and 10-K are boilerplate documents any consultant can throw together after consolidating the numbers. The CFO is of more use for contracts with outside vendors, partners and customers



Thats a theory that does not fit reality.

Reality is simple. CFO gone, announcement new CFO hire...
Why old CFO gone if obsolete job and want to hire new CFO..? mmm

no need CFO but hire new CFO... me logical think me say strange....
