BASF has a high quality EPA production facility in the Scottish Isles ( Equatech ) that they acquired thru their purchase of Pronova I believe. They are not under contract to AMRN.

That "high quality" BASF could not produce Vascepa (IIRC could not validated their facility) so Amarin terminated the contract and BASF has tp pay /payback (IIRC) $2M.

Amarins Japanese supplier ( Nisshu ? ) has noted that Amarin does not use all their existing EPA producing capacity

Amarin's Japanese supplier is Nisshin (?) and I am not aware of any note from them. Nisshu (sic) is Mochida's supplier (API supplier of Epadel, was / is not a contracted supplier of Amarin) who built a new factory (or extend the existing one) expecting delivery to Amarin. They had / have (?) a free capacity of app 420 metric ton EPA … unless Mochida and / or Amarin contracted with them.

Best,
G

ps.: I did not check all details now … all from memory / IIRC
