Thanks for those links, Zorax. Read them all. Seems windows features updates cannot be stopped from installing but once the update is uninstalled it can be blocked from reinstalling using the tool MS offers to hide/block it. As you note, security updates cannot be blocked.

It certainly is annoying that Windows10 takes away so much control of our own computers. May be times to move to another OS. . .

BTW, I don't understand a lot about how MS spies on us, but I keep nothing on my computer of a personal nature that I don't want viewed by "outsiders" and I would never use any sort of "cloud" to store my stuff. All work I do in Win10 I backup to a thumb every day and store it apart from the computer. Don't really know if that helps, but makes me feel a bit more secure.
