Thanks for posting that. I wasn't sure whether it was just my system or the update causing everyone problems. I had used the "uninstall latest update" in Settings, and it deleted the update but left the problems the update caused, which led to my nearly killing my entire system trying to get back to a workable point.

Thankfully after struggling with various apps and the display for a couple of days, I followed the directions in the article you posted and now my system is back to normal.

When I first ran the "go back to previous version" my computer got to a point where it continually recycled on a blue screen even though it said the scanning and repair of C: drive was 100% complete. I left it overnight to see if it would finish, but this morning it was still cycling endlessly so I decided to shut down and if it didn't return to normal on reboot, I would try the Recovery thumb which I made when I first got this computer. So I fired up again and my system came up normally. Thankfully I didn't need to go to the Recovery thumb or reinstall all my apps. All's well now. . .
