Almost all of my machines are desktops. I hadn't thought about the elevated demand from home schooling and work-at-home due to CV.

I don't think the U.S. ever hit 50,000 but we came close decades ago. Highways death rates are a fascinating subject and one we can be proud of. Despite our growing population, fewer and fewer people die on the road the last I checked. Cars are safer. People use seat belts. Roads are better. A bazillion little things have come together to save lives.

A few years ago I researched the safety of Model-T Fords. They were almost kegs of dynamite as you literally sat on the gas tank. Passengers were behind windows that were anything but safety glass. Many died in them despite their top speed of about 45 mph (many mods became available to increase that).

Funny. A few days ago a woman in a Mini-Cooper honked at me for driving too slow in front of her. I drive like I invest.
