Restaurants with a pre-existing high volume of delivery-service and take-out have actually increased their revenue and profit.

Local faux-Chinese restaurant Genghis Cohen had already rebuilt their kitchen so with all the tables full they were able to do twice as much in delivery service and take-out sales as eat-in - and that was before the pandemic shut-down.

Driving by and watching the volume of drivers picking up bags, I'd say their total sales have been up sharply during "the closure".


I'd be surprised if restaurants not positioned similarly will be willing to be caught short again.

Fast-food restaurants with drive-through windows have seen 2-block long lines.
