I always thought of a dividend as something that does not affect share price (at least not directly).
A split, though, will always cause an equivalent re-valuation of the price from the moment the split takes effect, so that the net effect on one's account balance is zero.
So we're saying that on Monday the PPS will go down 25% and we'll have 25% more shares with no change in $ worth?
