I never considered a Finread keyboard solution that wasn't Embassy, but then you understand Finread better than I. I have always seen the SCR-embedded keyboard as a far more elegant implementation than a stand-alone reader, but then I suppose a stand-alone device could have it's uses (like at a merchant's check-out counter).

Do you see SCM, Ingenico & Omnikey embedding their readers in a keyboard? I can't see that would make sense actually, for the Trusted Computing user, because a security co-processor-embedded keyboard should be interoperable like Embassy.
