I always do that with things I like, food and clothes,

I'll save the last bit of a favorite food until it goes bad and I have half a closet full of moth eaten favorite clothes I was trying to keep fresh - loved them to death you might say. Fortunately the ginger snaps are impervious to a short 5 month existence, that was a treat but I still hated polishing them off. I have a nice canister now for saving more smalls. :)
