It was owned by some wealthy people who used it as a vehicle for some innovative science concerning the elimination of insects based on disrupting their sense of smell. They signed an agreement with Bayer in 2010 to help develop it. But it didn't work. "The mosquitos won" said the lead scientist. The project was abandoned, and the company went dark. I don't remember the names of the owners but they were an SEC filer back then, and all ownership info is there.

I always thought it was like a toy for them. They don't need to make money with it. Pretty much a zombie ticker now, imo, but they often get frontloaded by outsiders, pumped and then dumped.

It's nice to have a lot of horsepower in the engine room but you need some in the wheelhouse too.
