Judicial precedents are presumptively correct and valuable to the legal community as a whole. They are not merely the property of private litigants and should stand unless a court concludes that the public interest would be served by a vacatur.

It is absolutely in the public interest for Du's decision to be vacated - if it is, AMRN goes full bore on educating the public about R-IT, thousands of lives can be saved, CVD health care costs would be lower - if it's not vacated AMRN doesn't spend a dime to build the market, patients lose out bigtime.
