For the same reason you find the west coast interesting. We both grew up in Los Angeles and had explored almost every mile of the west coast from Cabo to Kodiak Island. We were planning to cruise up to Montreal and explore the St. Lawrence this summer but it looks like that won't be possible until next summer so we'll stay more local to our marina. Also one of our daughters lives/works in DC so it's a nice way to spend time with her and her husband.
