The only way this can be construed neutral or portend positive is if there is a results based share price agreement in principle in place. In this case the number of shares outstanding would be based on fully diluted number of shares anyway so no long term damage only short term speculation. With the careful look under the hood by Mr. Duffy and return to Merck, when a non compete/NDA should otherwise have been put in place by lawyer run NWBO, speculation about a potential agreement is not unreasonable and maybe highly rational considering that DC vaccines have been demonstrated to be synergistic with checkpoint inhibitors. Merck would like to ramp up the use of their checkpoint inhibitor in other indications and would also probably want to be first in line to help get Direct into multiple indications. Best wishes.
