It has to do with net income and indicates how strong it's profitability is. It does not mean that stock is worth $14, it could be worth a lot more actually with these numbers. Some earning reports for instance come back with .16 EPS which mean they were profitable (you would just have to see how much revenue the company was doing to see how profitable that number would be for instance). Some companies post -.016 which mean they were not profitable. Looking at the past price on this chart at about a $3.25 avg over the past with a price per share earning of 1.62 and now it's at 14.00...if you did the math the price should probably be $24 range. I am not saying it should get there, there is also liabilities the company has, so any diluted shares would keep it from getting there...but I don't see any dilution right now. At the end of the day, it's all going to depend on how smart traders are and see the real value and of course as with anything in this world, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
