That's because banks by law have to meet capitalization standards. Even though the suit and the other complaint mention "account," "branch," and "deposits," Pacific Banking Corp is not a bank. Neither is it's parent company Pacific Processing.

You'd think if you were giving someone $2.8 million you'd do a little dd as to where you're money was actually going. Unless you were misled during the application process to believe that you were actually dealing with a bank.

It's nice to have a lot of horsepower in the engine room but you need some in the wheelhouse too.
