There is a wall on the other side on the long dimension of the trough, though clearly, this was not a 2 hour fire wall from the photos, again, this false wall wrapped in that flammable plastic wrap ( no signs of fire proof labeling) . Something on wheels could only be made from stainless steel and literally live rolling on the floor of the trough. The saltwater would have a day eventually with the rolling “crane”whatever you wish to call it.

A load beam and trolley system with a chain motor would be the preferred, efficient way of logistics for this, given the ridiculous little pvc gun barrel they intended to shoot these shrimp out of.

These guys are technical morons. The beam required to lift that load given the known vertical support structure, would most likely weight about 15-18 pounds per foot, let say 20 pounds per foot, all accessory load beams required to hold it up. Then the problem is the structure cannot handle this load, much less the chain motor and the live load of shrimp in the net.

A separate vertical support system would have had to been installed, relatively simply when the in ground trough was being built. Would have been so simple to transfer the loading to the concrete walls and the floor structure.

Before you guys say, hey UD, those are 6”x6”wood vertical post, yes they are, but they are already carrying the load of the roof, the lights, all that conduit and water piping ( and the water contained therein) that was never in the original design build of this frame.

But these guys are idiots.

Technically incompetent

But they do know how to build a massive fire. I’ll give them that.
