My recent observations regarding work.
South Florida contractors have laid out a contractor distancing plan. Landscaping is outside, painters are only on the first or second floor, where applicable, at a time, and us tile guys have the available floor to ourselves. All project managers wear n95 masks during daily visits. Should a break truck show up there are two people instead of one and a twelve foot distance is between buyers is established. When the presiding county sends an inspector, all adjacent trades will vacate until said inspector has completed the evaluation. About 10 minutes. I'm classified as a necessary business for now and wouldn't be surprised to see the whole construction industry completely shut down out of fairness to the majority of the population. I am fortunate not only to have a job but also to have a most beautiful and cheap president of the company, my wife, who was raised by depression parents. Her discipline over the decades assures me that we will be ok no matter how long we might be shut down.
The really creepy thing is the commute to work. What took over an hour at times now only takes 25 minutes. Have any of you noticed this? Looks like Will Smith in I am Legend sometimes. Just sharing my observations and look forward to anyone else's.
