Yes, after adjudicated, the SEC usually bans them from acting as an officer or director for five (5) year

One has a CEO of a Shell being told by the SEC, if he wants a clean Shell he has to wait 5 yrs. And the purpose of this CEO is to not R/M a "good company" into the Shell - yippee goes the SHs... "we gonna bee a good company". Rather it's to sell the now sanitized Shell to the so called "good company". Pocketing the difference in what he originally paid for the Shell. And yes there will be all kinds of games played with the stock to screw current stock holders.
