zman - again another good point - hope they are smart enough to employ some type of offer like this and not just commit to a long appeal battle with another binary decision at the end of the battle. I would be getting real creative right now if I were them. This isn't a slam dunk for generics in any stretch of the imagination without Amarin going through with full bore marketing and getting docs to write tons of prescriptions. A settlement like you suggest might be a good compromise but they aren't going to profit from this win without Amarin's involvement.
