During the Great Influenza Pandemic of 1918. Everyone who left their home In the USA had to wear a face mask or they would be arrested. Even so the Virus killed from fifty to a hundred million people world wide. Influenza, not Corona Virus is the most lethal vector. And though masks do prevent some of the spread of the virus. Social distancing (including quarantines) and hand washing is the most effective way to decrease the spread of a contact virus like Covid-19

I suggest everyone on the board read "The Great Influenza" by John Barry
This book is available on Amazon it is scholarly and can allow us to discuss this current plague with a degree of fact rather than just a bunch of wild statements
