The parallels with the rise of the Third Reich are, I think, significant. If as a result of the coronavirus outbreak we suffer a global depression, that will be very dangerous. For reasons I don't clearly understand, unpleasant nationalist movements bordering on fascism are already finding favor all over the world, and have been for years.

Or own president has disturbing authoritarian tendencies. At least here, where we the people supposedly control our government and governance, we ought to be able to stop the trend to fascism in its tracks.
