Testing is overrated. The test could give you a false negative result due to test error, procedure error or even clerical error. You could also catch the virus in between the time you took the test and when you got back the test result. So you are never 100% sure that you are virus free.

The only way to deal with the situation is to assume you could potentially carry the virus hence needs to protect all pathways (nose, mouth, etc.) to prevent spreading the virus. If everybody is willing to do that, then the situation will be under control shortly even without lock down and harming the economy.

I am going to repeat what I posted before:
