If you double the salaries of every single American, what would that mean for the tax revenue for the US Government and its people?

Now. I don't know the exact number, but I understand that college grads ON AVERAGE make 2x what they would make without having that degree. It is, after all, one of the main reasons they attend. To become Professionals.

Home owners get tremendous tax benefits...

Car owners... well... that's a negative. Unless you wanna talk cash for clunkers...
