I am not as pessimistic as the GOV in CA

In part because by now close to 100M people are taking good actions

But where I thought we - USA - would not see 1 million infected - I now think 10 Million would be a good goal --- 10Million or less infected (not the 50% of adults or 100Million nationwide the CA GOV spoke to as a concern)
