I, too, believe in science. But one can believe in science and also believe in God. You call it "stardust". The two are not contradictory. For example. the most famous biologist of all time (Charles Darwin) was a firm believer in the Abraham God— "“I have never been an atheist in the sense of denying the existence of a God.” Then, there is the most famous physicists of all time, Isaac Newton . His religious views were, at the time, very unconventional — had they been public he would probably have been deemed a heretic, but there is no doubt that he believed firmly in the idea of God, As did the most famous scientist of our time, Albert Einstein whose beliefs were probably the closest to an Atheist we have so far — he was raised as a Jew, but in later life he rejected the idea of a “personal god”, a benevolent, human-like entity who took an interest in human affairs. He did not describe himself as an atheist, though he did not believe in an afterlife — he believed that God existed, but that he was nebulous, universal, and not comprehensible to the human mind, pantheism, if you will. You may not realize it, but you also enjoy living in a Judeo Christian society - or you would never be an investor. It takes a lot of trust in the markets, the companies you invest in and the market system, all of the Trust you have in these is based on Judeo-Christian virtue and values. So, you see, you are much more intelligent than you give yourself credit for, you just like to ignore the facts and be "cool".
